Presbyterian Home of Maryland, Inc. (PHM) has served Baltimore area seniors since 1883. Originally located in downtown Baltimore, Presbyterian Home moved to the historic Offut Estate in Towson in 1929. A faith-based not-for-profit charitable organization serving adults of all faiths, Presbyterian Home is committed to its mission through the provision of a complete continuum of care:
The Presbyterian Home of Maryland, Inc. provides Christian-based retirement living and health care through the continuum of life, in a warm and caring environment, dedicated to superb service and the values of dignity, trust and independence.
In the fall of 2004, Presbyterian Home secured what was to become their new home - 138 acres of rolling, lusciously green Maryland countryside in Aberdeen. There was an immediate connection on the part of Presbyterian Home to this new property - it offered opportunity, space, and gracious comfortable country living that makes Maryland an ideal choice for so many retirees.

Aberdeen is known as “The Gateway to the Chesapeake Bay” (because of its close proximity to Maryland’s well known bay area). Aberdeen is a quickly growing city that has not lost its native Maryland charm and relaxed lifestyle.

The property is located along the Carsin's Run tributary of the Susquehanna River, thus, the name of the new Presbyterian Home - The Village at Carsins Run.
