Community Involvement
The Village at Carsins Run is committed to contributing both time and financial support to non-profits throughout Harford County,” says Susan Shea, President & CEO of the Presbyterian Home of Maryland. The continuing care community, which is to be the first in Harford County, is being developed by the Presbyterian Home, a faith-based not-for-profit organization that has been providing care to seniors in Baltimore since 1883.
The Village at Carsins Run is actively involved in the area’s premiere business organizations:
- Harford County Chamber of Commerce
- Greater Harford Committee
- Havre de Grace Chamber
- Rt. 40 Business Association
- G.A.I.N.
- Mid-Atlantic Networking Group
This past year 2010-2011 VCR was a proud sponsor at the following events / organizations in Harford County:
- Harford United Charities

Mrs. Shea notes that beyond time and financial contributions, The Village at Carsins Run will offer its community spaces to local organizations to use once construction is complete. Opening Carsins Run will allow seniors who currently live in the area to remain here, meaning their time and monetary support for local charities, non-profits, and religious organizations will continue. |
