Charter Members Take a Trip to The National Arboretum

You would have thought that the incessant rain on May 17, 2018 would have dampened the spirits of our Charter Members when they visited the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. Not so for our future Carsins Run residents!  Armed with coffee and danish everyone had the chance to get to know each other on the way there and back with lots of talking and laughter throughout the ride. A quick box lunch, then a member of the Arboretum who shared a wealth of knowledge about the Azalea collection and the flowering trees collection entertained us with all kinds of little stories along the way. Back at the Welcome Center, we were able to view the webcam of the baby eagles, which fascinated us all and then out into the pouring rain for the Bonsai exhibit which was amazing and very wet! What a fun, adventurous group our Charter Members are!
