Technology is now ingrained in every part of our lives. And, when building a retirement community, considerable thought goes into how technology will be implemented. “Forward thinking provides the basis of all that we do in the planning for the Carsins Run community,” says Joe Edel of Edel Technology Services. Joe provides consulting and technology services to the community.
The Carsins Run state-of-the art community will provide high speed wireless service in residential apartments and throughout the campus—even extending to some of the outdoor areas. Wireless service will also be available for staff functions such as scheduling housekeeping appointments and responding to maintenance requests with electronic record keeping for data accuracy.
Carsins Run will use technology to keep people safe and healthy and allow staff to focus on serving residents rather than processing paperwork. Resident check-ins will be done electronically, as well as the apartment and campus wide emergency response systems. “We want to stay ahead of the curve and provide practical and innovative electronic services to residents, staff and guests. Carsins Run will be a great place to continue to grow and learn new things, most of which will involve some form of technology.”
