Meet Charter Member Residents Jan & Bob Depuy

Jan and Bob Depuy are looking forward to moving into their Carsins Run home, making new friends, enjoying the amenities, and leaving the yard work and cleaning to others.

What especially excites the couple are the endless possibilities to bird watch right in their own backyard. For more than 40 years, Jan and Bob have been avid bird watchers, catching glimpses of warblers (Jan’s favorite) and other colorful birds from their kitchen window in Forest Hill. They love taking trips to Susquehanna State Park, Western Maryland, Maine, Ohio and Wyoming to bird watch. The Depuys are also eco-conscious and are doing their part to help increase the population of monarch butterflies.

“Carsins Run will free up our time to bird watch, socialize, explore with others and more!”

Carsins Run will beautifully complement their love of birds and butterflies. Jan says that the trees and water features are attractive to her. She finds them calming.

“Now I feel guilty going ‘birding’ all day when we have cleaning and chores to do,” says Bob. “But with Carsins Run taking care of the housekeeping and landscaping, we’ll have so much more free time to bird watch, socialize, explore with others and more!”
